Dale is originally from the Shenandoah Valley, and was raised on a family-run commercial cattle farm.

After obtaining a B.S. Degree at James Madison University, in Chemistry, Dale packed up everything he owned in the summer of 1992, and left the Shenandoah Valley to pursue a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

In graduate school in 1995, Dale met his wife, Tara. After graduating in 1998 and two post-docs at the University of New Orleans and the Comprehensive Cancer Center in Birmingham, Alabama, they decided it was about time to get married in 1999.

Since, 2001 Dale worked full time as a research scientist for a pharmaceutical company near Birmingham, Alabama.

Although, Dale has always been intrigued with photography, he just has recently pursed photography seriously. Dale shoots for pleasure, and occasionally, when requested, will do portraits, or events, and welcomes any comments or critiques you may have for any of his work.
